We have over 15 years of experience working with individuals struggling with mental health concerns, experience supervising and training clinical staff, as well as overseeing mental health crisis clinics. Dr. Alice Stark came to the field of industrial organizational psychology to help her clients untangle learned patterns of behavior and develop strategies for growth and healing on both and organizational and an individual perspective.
She holds a PhD and Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, an MA in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dr Alice applies her experience as a licensed social worker as well as her research knowledge on authenticity in leadership to create a space where her clients can engage in whole-hearted and unapologetic self-examination.
Her work with clients is done with the understanding that all patterns of behavior once served an important purpose, and that growth and healing comes from evaluating and changing patterns that no longer serve.
Dr Stark brings joyful and radical acceptance into everything she does and encourages her clients to embrace their resilience as they move beyond that kept them from attaining their goals.
In parallel, Dr Stark applies similar techniques to meet the needs of organizations. She recognizes that workplace relationships are just as prone to interpersonal conflicts as personal relationships, and utilizes her background in Industrial-Organizational psychology to develop programs to help improve operations, enhance communications, and decrease conflict among groups of people.
Dr. Alice offers leadership coaching and supervision, group coaching and supervision, and custom, research-based assessments and training programs, as well as organizational development and pro-environmental sustainability- focused services. Dr Stark understands that organizations will all have unique challenges and needs, and provides tailored tools and advice for sustainable, long-term, positive improvements at all levels.
